General Job Description

This is a professional position responsible for supporting data operational activities, including implementation, processes, training, and procedures of the customer relationship management ( CRM ) system. Supports the needs of the enrollment management division, including but not limited to data integrity, communications, events, application management, queries, and reports. Collaborates with various departments to support the university’s enrollment goals. Works under general supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Director of Enrollment Communications and Strategies.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains and optimizes the university’s CRM system.

  • Facilitates the accurate import and export of data and ensures data integrity between the system and the university’s student information system ( SIS ).

  • Develops and maintains user guides and instructional guides to provide ongoing technical support and train faculty and staff on CRM usage.

  • Researches and provides analytical data to support functionality and develop solutions for CRM , including system data reporting and analysis.

  • Facilitates the admissions search process by executing acquisition of contact information, loading it into relevant university systems, merging or removing duplicate entries, and producing related reports.

  • Builds, tests, and maintains forms, event templates, essential data elements, and system/feature updates throughout the year and during annual cycle prep process.

  • May represent the department on various university committees as needed.

  • Ability to learn office- and university-specific software.

  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Physical Demands

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, higher education or a related field is required. Related experience may be substituted for required education on a basis set forth by the Department of Human Resources.

Required Experience and Training

Three years of related experience is required. Experience in marketing, higher education recruitment, communication strategy or systems implementation and management related to these areas is required. Additional education may substitute for experience on a basis set forth by the Department of Human Resources.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional experience working in or with higher education (at an institution or service provider) is preferred. Experience using Slate CRM and Banner SIS is preferred.

Benefit and Retirement Eligibility

This position is eligible for participation in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ) retirement plan, subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
